Graham Leick - Working Director

Graham has been a working director at Paperchain since 1994. Graham does daily collections across Exeter on set rounds for our customers on the Annual Memberships. Graham is interested in nature and he enjoys finding quiet places.

 

 

 

Colin Matthews - Director

Colin Matthews - Working Director

Colin has worked at Paperchain since 2006 and been a director since 2008. Initially working part time both on the van and in the office Colin helped to increase capacity enabling him to now man the office daily. Colin is responsible for the day to day running of Paperchain, the accounts and business planning and development. Colin is a member of the Green Party, having stood for election at both local and national level. He spends his spare time with his family and enjoys exploring Dartmoor, castles and ancient monuments. He also enjoys festivals, live music and cooking.

 

 

Darrell Pearce - Working Director

Darrell joined Paperchain in October 2008. Darrell is on the front line, collecting daily from our customers, helping out in the warehouse and with the sorting of cans. Darrell is responsible for the weekly collections we do from our textile banks around Exeter. Darrell has many years experience of working in the recycling industry including 8 years gained dealing with domestic recycling at Exeter City Council. Darrell spends his spare time with his family, walking his dog, fishing and is an avid Spurs fan.

 

 

 

 

Joe Salmon - Non Working Director

Joe Salmon has been a director of Paperchain since 2005. Joe has been a committed environmentalist since childhood; he has volunteered and worked for several charities including over ten years working for BTCV, the UKs largest practical conservation charity. Joe came to Paperchain as a volunteer director and his role has grown to encompass quality control, health and safety, fundraising and supporting the future development of the co-operative. Joe is also a qualified Tai Chi teacher and a Director of Tai Chi Nation Ltd. This role takes him to many venues across the South West sharing his skills and the great benefits of this art with clients ranging from the corporate sector to older people, school children and people with special needs.  He is also an active volunteer for Exeter Steiner School. Joe has a degree in Philosophy and holds NVQs in workplace training, leadership and line management. He is also a qualified NVQ assessor and internal verifier. He spends his free time with his family, enjoying his allotment and walking.
